SlideShow

The first picture of the series is Mount Rainier. The next is Mount Rushmore. (PS Did you all know that the sculptor for Mount Rushmore was originally from Paris, Idaho?) Then there is the flooded Mississippi River as it came into Fort Madison close to Nauvoo. The next picture is the Nauvoo temple resting high above the flooded Mississippi River. Finally, there is Carthage jail.

Hey Guys, Sorry it has taken a long time to post.Glad to see you started a blog! I don't mean to be anal retentive but that guy that sculpted Mt Rushmore was from St. Charles, born in 1867; close enough. I didn't even know that he was from here until you guys mentioned it and then I noticed it on the scenic byway sign in Bear Lake and that's what they said. How are you doing Stacie while Landon is away so much? Hope everything is going well.
